We offer TeleRehab (virtual) Physiotherapy Appointments

In this time of social distancing, taking care of your health and well-being is more important than ever.

We are excited to offer TeleRehab physiotherapy appointments. If you are concerned about your current recovery, had an acute injury, flare-up of Chronic pain or wish to progress your exercises then TeleRehab appointments can help you.

How does virtual consult (TeleRehab) work?

You can book an virtual appointment directly on our website by clicking "Book Online" button. Alternatively, you can email us at info@bayridgephysio.com or call 613 634 6666. We will contact you to obtain your information and book you an appointment. At the time of booking, you will receive an email confirmation with appointment details and a link to join at the time of your appointment.

What conditions can be assessed on TeleRehab or virtual consult?

Most acute injuries (example joint sprain, muscle strain or new injury), chronic flare-up of pain

(example lower back pain, neck pain, hip pain) and mobility restrictions (stiff shoulder, neck or back) can

be assessed by our therapist. Before setting up an appointment with you, the therapist will ask you some screening questions to ascertain if TeleRehab will help your condition.

 

What kind of treatment will I get on a TeleRehab consult?

The therapist will perform an assessment of your condition and provide an exercise program, education and pain management strategies.

 

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

No, you do not need a referral for physiotherapy. However, your extended health plan may require you to have one. Please check with your insurance company if they require a referral to cover physiotherapy visits.

 

Is TeleRehab (virtual) consult covered by my insurance plan?

Most private insurance companies are covering TeleRehab (virtual) visits. Please check with your provider if they are allowing TeleRehab physiotherapy visits under your plan.

WSIB and Motor Vehicle insurance companies are allowing these visits as well.  

 

Is my privacy protected during the visit?

We continue to abide by the PHIPA Ontario and PIPEDA Canada regulations for virtual appointment the same way we do for clinic consults. The online application we use us compliant with these regulations and the video link is only shared between the client and physiotherapist and no recording is made.

 

What electronic device will I need for the virtual appointment?

You can use your cell phone, tablet or computer.

 

How do I pay for my visit?

Sessions are paid by Credit Card at the time of booking through a secure payment option on our website.
